We met on the internet, looking for friends. I had just moved to the
Seattle area and Rich had lived there for nearly two decades. We've
been a couple for about a year and a half. We knew a few months after
becoming a couple that we wanted to get married. We were such good
friends that it wasn't hard for us to build an extension to the bridge
of our friendship.
The single most-memorable moment of our wedding for me was standing
under the chupah with so much of our family present, circling each
other. For Rich, it was when the rabbi told us to look behind us and
see the people who chose to share their day with us, and to always
remember it.
As for our honeymoon, we went to Hawaii! We spent a week there and had
a wonderful time.
Getting married has been one of the most important things either one
of us has ever done in our entire lives. Next up: growing our family
through adoption! |
